Lauwersermeer

Motored from Dokkum this morning and stopped for lunch at a mooring place in the Lauwersermeer. Useful tips from the German boat already there about the passage East, which we hope to start tomorrow.

Amsterdam etc

Stopped at Sixhaven Marina.  Spent a day in Amsterdam (well it would be a shame to just go past). Then through the Markermeer to Enkhuizen. Next day  to Harlingen. Then Leeuwarden.

Dokkum

Arrived this afternoon in Dokkum. It's a small town on the canal from Harlingen heading East. We chose the inland route from IJmuiden as the wind was forecast to be from the north and East. Hopefully tomorrow we move on to Lauwersoog and then see if we can continue by sea.

2015 Cruise Started

This time don't expect frequent updates and lots of pictures. Last year it got too much work and a real chore so I gave up.  This year I will keep it simple
